Carolyn Elge
Carolyn K. Elge, age 60, of Aurora died Sunday morning, March 24, 2002, at Memorial Hospital in Aurora. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora. Fr. Craig Doty will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 P.M. Tuesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora, with the Rosary at 7:30 P.M. at St. Mary's Church. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at higbymortuary.com. OBITUARY: CAROLYN K. ELGE Carolyn K. Elge, the daughter of Nick and Betty (Frank) Degenhart, was born in Sterling, Colorado on January 1, 1942 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on March 24, 2002, at the age of 60. She grew up in Yuma, Colorado and graduated from Yuma High School in 1960. Carolyn attended the University of Northern Colorado for two years. Carolyn was united in marriage to Ron Elge on April 12, 1969 at St. Joseph's Church in Fort Collins, Colorado. They moved to Aurora in 1970. Carolyn was a receptionist at Memorial Health Clinic for the last several years. Carolyn was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora. She was a member of the Altar Society and the Parish Council at St. Mary's. She was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Joyce Stenson. Carolyn is survived by her husband Ron of Aurora; son, Tim and his wife Molly of Omaha; daughter, Gretchen Wiebe and her husband Tim of McCook; mother, Betty Degenhart of Fort Collins, Colorado; three sisters, Phyl Clark and her husband Tom of Kingwood, Texas, Marlene Damm and her husband Herb of Yuma, Colorado and Nita Kanan of Mesquite, Nevada; brother, Lynn Degenhart and his wife Carolyn of Albuquerque, New Mexico and brother-in-law, Jim Stenson of Red Feather Lake, Colorado. |
