Martha Petersen, age 68, of York, died Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at her home in York.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 5th at the Aurora Cemetery. Phil Towle will officiate. Memorials may be made in care of family. OBITUARY: MARTHA PETERSEN

Martha Ann Sweeney Petersen, the daughter of Claude Augustus and Charlotte Mildred (Johnson) Sweeney, was born in Aurora, Nebraska on April 11, 1934 and died in York, Nebraska on July 2, 2002, at the age of 68.

Martha was raised in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School. She moved to York in 1974 and owned and operated a daycare center in York for 25 years. She retired due to health reasons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and one great-granddaughter.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Mike Fowler and family of Omaha, Ed and Narcinia Fowler of Clatonia, Bill and Lisa Fowler and family of York, and Charlotte Preslicka and Glen Coffey and family of McCool Junction; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one brother Joe Sweeney of Seguin, Texas.
