Maggie Andersen

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 24, 1982 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Mrs. Maggie Andersen

Maggie Andersen, the daughter of Frank and Margaret Pollard Castle, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on April 17, 1896. Her death occurred at Aurora, Nebraska, on February 21, 1982, at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 4 days.

She had spent her entire lifetime in Hamilton County.

On February 20, 1921 she was united in marriage to Alvin Andersen at Aurora. They farmed north of Aurora for many years and on retirement moved to Aurora, where she has since resided. Her husband preceded her in death on April 28, 1976.

Mrs. Andersen was affiliated with the United Methodist Church in Aurora.

Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her one son, Sgt. Wayne Andersen who died in action during World War II; her daughter Mrs. Janice Henthorn on February 13, 1982; 6 brothers, Willie Castle, LeRoy Castle, Johnnie Castle, Robert Castle, Thomas Castle and Wayne Castle; and 5 sisters, Mrs. Belle Castle Wert, Mae Begeson, Ocie Deal, Mabel Cantrell and Josephine Hutsell.

Her only survivors are a son-in-law, Wrex Henthorn, Jr. of Aurora; four grandchildren, Eugene Henthorn, Richard Wayne Andersen, Mrs. Karen Helms and Mrs. Linda Taylor; six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and close friends, who will cherish her memory.
