Ramona AndersenFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 5, 1983 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg, Nebraska. Interment was held in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. OBITUARY: Ramona J. Andersen Ramona J. Andersen, the daughter of Charles Franklin and Julia Blanche Harnock Roper, was born at Wood River, Nebraska, on June 7, 1929. Her death occurred at Lincoln, Nebraska, on December 2, 1983 at the age of 54 years, 5 months and 25 days. Her early childhood was spent in various locations in central Nebraska because of her fathers employment with the railroad. She graduated from Grand Island High School in 1945 at the age of 16 years. She then attended the Grand Island Business College for 2 years. She worked as secretary for the construction company that built the Veterans Hospital in Grand Island. She was employed there until the time of her marriage. On March 10, 1948, she was united in marriage to Elwood Andersen at Red Cloud, Nebraska. They made their home in Marquette, Nebraska. Three daughters blessed their home. Mrs. Andersen was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith and while residing in Marquette had been active in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg, where she was a member. She was active in the church choir. Her father, one infant brother, Richard and two infant sisters, Robert and Violet Roper had preceded her in death. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband; three daughters, Patricia Guthrie and Michaela Andersen both of Lincoln and Rozane Andersen of Chadron, Nebraska; her mother, Blanche Nicholas of Aurora; brother, L.D. Roper of Little Rock, Arkansas and other relatives and many close friends. |
