Edith Bayne

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 2, 1993 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Edith Bayne

Edith Hilda Bayne, the daughter of Christian and Anna (Petersen) Jensen, was born near Stockham, Nebraska, on December 10, 1897, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 31, 1993, at the age of 95 years, 1 month, and 21 days.

She was a lifelong resident of Hamilton County, and grew up near Stockham, and attended Verona School near Stockham.

On December 31, 1919, she was united in marriage to John Edward Bayne at Aurora. He preceded her in death on September 26, 1982. After her marriage they farmed in the Giltner area, and in 1960, the retired and moved into Aurora.

Edith was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, and enjoyed quilting and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ed, one great grandchild and 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son Deryl of Grand Island; 3 daughters, Eileen Maw of Aurora, Audrey Brummund of Doniphan, and Verla Bierbower of Shelby; 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
