Wayne Beach

Memorial Services were held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, September 5, 1989 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Inurnment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Wayne Beach

Wayne Ivan Beach, the son of Clarence and Mabel (DeGraw) Beach, was born at Soldier, Kansas, on August 5, 1912, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 30, 1989, at the age of 77 years and 25 days.

He grew up in Soldier, Kansas, and then moved to Colorado, where he graduated from high school at Erie, Colorado. While in Colorado he was engaged in farming and ranching.

On August 30, 1945, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Jane Biggs, at Denver, Colorado. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Harvard, Nebraska, where Wayne began work as a land leveler, and in 1946, they moved to Aurora. On October 15, 1978, they moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and in July of 1989, they returned to Aurora.

Wayne was a very active member of the United Methodist Church while living in Aurora, and attended the Willowbrook United Methodist Church in Arizona. He had received many conservation awards, and was past president of Land Improvement Contractors of Nebraska. He was also past president of the Aurora Rotary Club, and was active in the Aurora Chamber of Commerce.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Delpha Beach.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Dorothy, of Aurora; 2 sons, John of Salt Lake City, Utah, and William of Denton, Nebraska; 3 brothers, Lowell of Windsor, Colorado, Robert of Sonoma, California and Gaylord of Grand Island; 2 sisters Maxine Bond of Tacoma, Washington and Alvene Briggs of Clay Center, Nebraska and 4 grandchildren.
