Clifford BeacomFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 25, 1997 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Clifford Beacom Clifford Elmer Beacom, the son of William and Clara (Laser) Beacom, was born at Stockham, Nebraska, on August 3, 1915, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on March 21, 1997, at the age of 81 years, 7 months, and 18 days. He grew up near Stockham, and received his schooling at Stockham. On August 5, 1936, he was united in marriage to Alice Dahlke, at Waverly, Nebraska. She preceded him in death on December 5, 1979. After their marriage they lived in the Stockham area until 1939, when they moved to the Los Angeles area in California, where he was employed by the John Manville Company as a tool and die maker. In 1972, he retired, and moved to their present home in Aurora. Clifford served his country during World War Two. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton, and also belonged to the Eagles Club in Grand Island, and the American Legion Post #42, in Aurora. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alice, and a brother Roy. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his son William and his wife Judy of Aurora; 2 grandsons Clifford J. and his wife Vicki, and David R. and his fiance Nikki Harding; 3 great grandchildren, Alice, Aaron and Allison, and a special friend, Litta Sidel of Aurora. |
