Judy Beacom

Judy Beacom, age 68, of Aurora, died Thursday, January 17, 2008, at her home.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 21st at Higby-McQuiston Chapel. Rev. Kip Smith will officiate. Interment will be in Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M. OBITUARY: JUDY BEACOM

Judy Marie Beacom, the daughter of John and Francis (Tacitt) Allison, was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on July 22, 1939 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on January 17, 2008, at the age of 68.

She grew up in Cheyenne, where she graduated from high school. Judy moved to Long Beach, California in 1957.

Judy married William Beacom on June 11, 1960 at Linwood, California. They moved to Aurora in 1972. She ran a day care for several years and assisted her husband, who worked at the Vet’s Club.

Judy belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary and was past president of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Aurora. She was also a member of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Nancy Tacitt and Elizabeth Hanger.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, William Beacom of Aurora; two sons, Clifford Beacom and special friend Carrie and David (Nikki) Beacom all of Grand Island; 5 grandchildren, Alicia, Aaron, Allison, Dakota and Ciara Beacom; sister, Rebecca Gerke of Cheyenne, Wyoming; brother, William Allison of Long Beach, California and nieces and nephews.
