Robert BeckerFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 25, 1983 at Monroe Evangelical Free Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Robert P. Becker Robert Paul Becker, the son of Reinhold and Alma Kirchafer Becker, was born at Sutton, Nebraska, on November 1, 1928. His death occurred near Phillips, Nebraska, on January 22, 1983 at the age of 54 years, 2 months and 21 days. He spent his childhood in he Sutton community and received his education in Public Schools of the vicinity. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On November 22, 1953, he was united in marriage to Rosetta Jean Benke at Aurora. Following his discharge from the Army two years later, they established their home on a farm near Phillips, where they farmed until the spring of 1970 when they moved into Phillips. For several years he was employed by the Prairie Valley Hybrids Seed Company, now owned by Stauffer Seeds. His wife preceded him in death on March 10, 1978. He had continued to reside in Phillips until the time of his death. Robert was a member of the Monroe Evangelical Free Church near Phillips. Besides his wife, he was also preceded in death by his father. Those who remain to cherish his memory are two sons, Ronald of Aurora and Randall of Phillips; one daughter, Janelle Becker at home; his mother, Alma Becker of Sutton; two sisters, Mrs. Norma Ochsner of Sutton and Mrs. Arlene Darden of Escondido, California; one grandson, Jason Becker and two daughters-in-law, Pam and Sheryl Becker and other relatives and many close friends. |
