Rodney Beins
Rod Beins, age 47, of Aurora, died Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at Bryan/LGH West in Lincoln. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 17th at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora. Rev. Craig Doty will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 P.M. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. OBITUARY: RODNEY BEINS Rodney Ray Beins, the son of Ronald Ray and Roberta Lea (Carlson) Beins, was born in Grand Island, Nebraska on August 10, 1956 and died in Lincoln, Nebraska on July 14, 2004, at the age of 47. He grew up near Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School in 1974. He began farming with his father on the family farm. Rod was very proud to be the 4th generation to farm the homeplace. Rod was united in marriage to Beverly Gowen on May 26, 1978 at Aurora. He continued farming with his father and then later had his own farming operation. Rod loved his family; his farming, his animals, and he especially enjoyed being involved in the activities of his sons. Rod was a Board Member of the Aurora Co-op. He was a member of the Nebraska Corn Growers Association, Nebraska Cutting Horse Association, Hamilton County Livestock Feeders Association, where he also served as President. Rod was also a 4-H Leader. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Russ. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Beverly Beins of Aurora; two sons, Will Beins attending University of Nebraska at Lincoln and Chris Beins attending Hastings College; three sisters, Rhonda (Ned) Grosshans of Aurora, Becky (Jeff) Sharp of Omaha and Robin (Brent) Sanderson of Aurora; uncle, Ross (JoAnne) Beins of Olympia, Washington; grandmother, Hazel Johnson of Polk; aunts, Corrine (LaVaghn) Adelson of Polk and Janice (Merlyn) Lampshire of Lincoln; mother-in-law, Joan Gowen of Aurora; brother-in-law, Bill (Diane) Gowen of Aurora; sisters-in-law, Carol (Kurt) Glinn of Aurora and Amy (Mark) Winchell of Kearney and loved by his many nieces, nephews and cousins. |
