Edward Bell

OBITUARY: Edward F. Bell

Edward F. Bell, the son of Cicero and Allie Spann Bell, was born March 17, 1903, at Somerset, Kentucky. His death occurred at Aurora, Nebraska on April 11, 1985 at the age of 82 years and 24 days.

In 1914 the family moved to Kansas where they resided for several years.

On March 17, 1926 he was united in marriage to Thelma Rogers at Downs, Kansas. They resided there until 1932 when they moved to Hamilton County, Nebraska, where they farmed near Phillips until 1942. From 1942 until 1954 he was employed in the Parts Department of the Farmer’s Union Association in Aurora. Following that he was self employed in painting and decorating and in carpenter work. His wife preceded him in death on January 24, 1978.

Others who had preceded him in death were his parents, three brothers, Stanly, Frank and Benjamin Bell.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his daughter, Letha and her husband Neil Ridge of Lincoln; two grandsons, and two great-granddaughters; one brother, Virgil Bell of Grand Island; two half-brothers, Oren Bell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and William Vickery of Fairbury, Nebraska and several nieces and nephews.
