Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 20, 1991 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Violet Bell

Violet J. Bell, the daughter of Arthur and Sadie (Negley) McGrath, was born at Eldorado, Nebraska, on September 19, 1917, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on June 18, 1991, at the age of 73 years, 8 months, and 29 days.

In 1923, the family moved to Aurora, and Violet attended Aurora Schools.

On September 24, 1938, she was united in marriage to James Stanley Bell at Central City. He preceded her in death on October 10, 1970. They lived in Aurora, and in 1949, they moved to Giltner. Later they moved to a farm west of Stockham. In 1972, following her husband’s death she moved into Aurora, where she has since resided.

Violet was a member of the Aurora Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 2 brothers, Orville and Virgil McGrath.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are 2 sons, James of Delwein, Iowa and Dennis of Moreno Valley, California; 2 daughters, Merna Menke of Marquette, and Marilyn Wells of Hastings; one sister Alice Cruff of Wheatland, Wyoming; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
