Mildred BergmarkFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Friday, October 26, 1990 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Mildred Bergmark Mildred Frances Bergmark, the daughter of Charles and Nellie (Cox) Tivis, was born on a farm south of Aurora, on March 24, 1906, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on October 23, 1990, at the age of 84 years, 6 months, and 29 days. She grew up in Hamilton County, and received her education in Hamilton County, and graduated from the Aurora High School. After graduation she taught country school. On May 31, 1928, she was united in marriage to Frank W. Bergmark, and they farmed. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1937. After his death she continued to live on the farm and raise livestock, near Phillips, until the return of her son Wendell from the service, in 1957, when she became a personal companion to others, one of who was Mrs. Nagelstock of Grand Island whom she resided for a number of years, and upon her death she moved to Aurora until ill health forced her to move to Memorial Community Care for a period of four months. She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Grand Island. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, an infant son, a foster son Rozell (Mac) McMinn; one brother Ralph Tivis, and a grandson Roger Bergmark. Those who remain to cherish her memory are 2 sons, Wendell and Wilford Bergmark, both of Aurora; one sister, Effie Evans of Aurora; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. |
