Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 18, 1990 at the Stockham Community Church. Interment was held in the Giltner Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Mason Bernhardt

Mason Jay Bernhardt, the son of Ronald and Elaine (Clapper) Bernhardt, was born at Lincoln, Nebraska, on March 8, 1973, and passed away at Giltner, Nebraska, on August 15, 1990, at the age of 17 years, 5 months, and 7 days.

He lived at St. Paul, Minnesota, and attended Kindergarten at Grand Island. The rest of his schooling was attained at Giltner, where he would have been a senior this term. Mason lettered in football, basketball, and track, and was involved in drama, speech, and band, and was active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He was also an honor roll student, and had just become a certified lifeguard.

Mason was affiliated with the Stockham Community Church.

Those who survive to cherish his memory are his parents, Ron and Elaine Bernhardt, of Giltner; a brother Joseph at home; his grandparents, Ted and Margaret Clapper of Ainsworth, and Harold and Esther Bernhardt of Broken Bow.
