Stella Binckley

Funeral Services were held 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 5, 1985 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Stella Binckley

Stella Ermina Binckley, the daughter of George and Sarah (Strickler) Bute, was born at Vanderbilt, Pennsylvania, on July 17, 1885, and passed away at Omaha, Nebraska, on November 1, 1985, at the age of 100 years, 3 months and 14 days.

In 1890, the family moved to Aurora, where she grew up and attended country school.

On June 24, 1920, she was united in marriage to George E. Binckley. He preceded her in death in 1925.

She moved back to Aurora in 1929, and in 1934 she moved to Lincoln, where she lived for several years. She then lived in several different places including Omaha, Florida, Arizona, Idaho and Aurora. The last 10 years she had lived in the Good Samaritan Center in Omaha.

She was a member of the Christian Church, where she served as primary grade superintendent for several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 grandchildren, one step-son, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are two daughters, Eva Utterback of Omaha and Jean Shue of San Leandro, California; 3 sisters, Eva Bute of Aurora, Anna Bute of McCook and Forence Bute of Aurora; 2 granddaughters, 4 step-grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
