Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, June 20, 1991 at the Giltner United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Giltner Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Arthur Bish

Arthur Edward Bish, the son of William and Carrie (Morsch) Bish, was born on a farm south of Giltner on December 26, 1906, and passed away at Lincoln, Nebraska, on June 17, 1991, at the age of 84 years, 5 months, and 21 days.

He grew up in the Giltner area, and attended Giltner Schools, and began farming 3 south and 1 ½ west of Giltner for 9 years.

On January 25, 1929, he was united in marriage to Ruby West, at Wolbach, Nebraska. They moved to a farm 3 south and ½ east of Giltner. 27 years ago they moved into Giltner and he ran Bish Welding for 5 years, before retiring.

Art was a longtime and faithful member of the Giltner United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Mildred Bentley, Hilda and Elsie Bish; one brother Ervin E. Bish, 2 infant siblings, and one grandson David Bish.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Ruby of Giltner; 4 sons, Harvey and Donald, both of Giltner, Roger of Grand Island, and Dean Bish of Elm Creek. 2 daughters, Shirley McVicker of Grand Island, and Eileen Schultz of Rogers, Arkansas; 2 brothers, Oran Bish of Aurora, and Ralph Bish of Caroll, Iowa. 27 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
