Eldon Bish

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, October 19, 1995 at the Giltner United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Giltner Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Eldon Bish

Eldon LeRoy Bish, the son of Ervin and Florence (Wagner) Bish, was born at Giltner, Nebraska, on September 26, 1919, and died at Central City, Nebraska, on October 16, 1995, at the age of 76 years, and 20 days.

He grew up in the Giltner area, attended school, and graduated from Giltner High School. For a few years he worked in Iowa. He served his country in the United States Navy during World War 2, from May 21, 1942, until his discharge on October 29, 1945. Following his discharge he bought a farm in the Giltner area.

On August 31, 1956, he was united in marriage to Anna Scheer at Giltner. They lived on the farm near Giltner all their married life.

“Roy” was a member of the Giltner United Methodist Church, and belonged to the Phillips Keystone Masonic Lodge # 62, the Phillips Eastern Star Lodge #204, and the Scottish Rite.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Ann of Aurora; one son Eldon D. Bish of Plymouth, Minnesota, one daughter Lori A. Bish of Seattle, Washington; 3 brothers, Cyril of Lincoln, William of West Point, and his twin Steve of Aurora; 2 sisters, Pauline Torgerson of Aurora, and Bonnie Ives of Portland, Oregon; and 2 grand daughters, Alyssa and Lurena.
