Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 12, 1990 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Giltner Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Florence Bish

Florence Margaret Bish, the daughter of Matthias and Sarah (Jackson) Wagner, was born at Giltner, Nebraska, on September 8, 1896, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on May 9, 1990, at the age of 93 years, 8 months, and 1 day.

She grew up around Giltner and graduated from Giltner High School in 1915.

On February 16, 1916, she was united in marriage to Ervin E. Bish, at Giltner. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1980. They farmed in the Giltner area until 1968 when they moved to Aurora.

Florence was a member of the Alvin Rural Church of Giltner, and was a member of the Giltner Methodist Church for over 60 years. She was a member of the Methodist Women and had served as president, she had also taught Sunday School for many years. She had been a member of the Eastern Star since 1926 and had been Worthy Matron, and had been a member of the Scoville Extension Club, when they lived southwest of Giltner. She was also a charter member of the Giltner North Community Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers and one sister.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are 4 sons; Alvin “Steve” Bish and Eldon Bish of Aurora, Cyril of Lincoln and J. William of West Point; 2 daughters, Pauline Torgerson of Aurora and Bonnie Ives of Portland, Oregon; one brother, Fred Wagner of Balboa, California; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
