Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 8, 1994 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Giltner Cemetery in Giltner, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Oran Bish

Oran Raymond Bish, the son of William and Carrie (Morsch) Bish, was born near Hinkley, Illinois, on March 26, 1899, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on June 5, 1994, at the age of 95 years, 2 months, and 9 days.

When he was 1 year old the family moved to Nebraska, and lived on a farm in Hamilton County in Union Precinct, and Oran attended East Boag Country School. The family then moved to Texas, and in the spring of 1912, they returned to the Giltner area, where they have since resided.

On December 2, 1919, he was united in marriage to Mary Williams, at Giltner. She preceded him in death on December 14, 1985. In 1963, they retired and moved into Aurora. On April 21, 1986, Oran entered the Hamilton Manor in Aurora.

He was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, and was an avid card player.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Ervin, Arthur and Ralph; 3 sisters, Mildred Bentley, Hilda and Elsie Bish, and an infant brother and sister.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his 2 sons, Doyle and his wife Evelyn of Aurora; Deryl and his wife Myra of Giltner; one daughter Maxine Sargent and her husband Phillip of Bend, Oregon; 6 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
