OBITUARY: Julia Bister

Julia Margaret Bister, the daughter of John and Mary (Younquest) Bister, was born on a farm 3 miles northwest of Aurora, on July 19, 1899, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on May 29, 1995, at the age of 95 years, 10 months, and 10 days.

Several years later the family moved to their farm in the Monroe Community, which was her home for the rest of her life. She spent her lifetime helping and caring for her parents and also did home nursing, caring for others, for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 infant brothers, one of which was her twin.

Survivors include 2 cousins, Vern Johnson of Aurora, and Lloyd Baum of Hawthorne, California, whom the Bister family took into their home and raised after the death of their mother, in the early years. She is also survived by several other cousins and many friends.
