Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 17, 1997 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Kenneth Bjorkman

Kenneth Byron Bjorkman, the son of Charles and Selma (Peterson) Bjorkman, was born at Hordville, Nebraska, on August 17, 1923, and died at Omaha, Nebraska, on November 13, 1997, at the age of 74 years, 2 months, and 26 days.

He grew up and graduated from Hordville High School and farmed in the Hordville area.

He was united in marriage to Jean Person at Hordville on May 31, 1945. They farmed in the Hordville area until 1955, when they began farming in the Marquette area. In 1982, they retired and moved to Aurora. Jean preceded him in death on November 20, 1995.

Ken was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church and was active in the work of Gideons International.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 5 brothers, Harold, Vancil, Merlyn, Wilber and an infant brother.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his son Stephen and his wife Linda of Lincoln, and his daughter, Betty Kieran and her husband John of Bellevue, and 3 grandsons, Jeff Bjorkman, Erick Bjorkman and John K. Kieran.
