Miley BjorkmanFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 2, 1985 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Mamre Cemetery north of Marquette. OBITUARY: Miley Bjorkman Miley was born at Hordville, Nebraska, on August 16, 1915, the son of Simon and Alfreda Johnson Bjorkman. He attended grade school and high school at Hordville graduating in 1933. He was employed for several years in California where he later enlisted in the Army Air Force prior to World War II. During the war he served in England where he met Joan Brumfitt, whom he married in Manchester, England on February 16, 1946. After the war they moved to Aurora, Nebraska where he farmed until 1954. At that time Miley, Joan and their 2 children moved to Trumbull, Nebraska where Miley farmed until retirement in 1978. At this time they moved to Arizona, where they lived until 1983. The past two years they have made their home in Ft. Worth, Texas. Survivors include his wife Joan; son, Dennis, daughter-in-law and granddaughter of Ft. Worth; daughter, Terry Nelson of Omaha; one brother, Orville of Phillips; four sisters, Dorothy Burke of Phoenix, Arizona; Malinda (Mrs. Harold Klawonn) of Bradshaw, Hannah (Mrs. Lamont Jones) of Aurora, and Gladys (Mrs. Donald Peterson) of Marquette. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. |
