Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 7, 1993 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Hazel G. Black

Hazel G. “Bunzi” Black, the daughter of William and Bertha (Henderson) Davis, was born at Greeley, Colorado on December 19, 1936, and died at Aurora, Nebraska on May 3, 1993, at the age of 56 years, 4 months, and 14 days.

She was raised in Portland, Oregon, and graduated from high school in Milwaukee, Oregon. She lived in Las Vegas, Nevada where she was married to Bill Black on January 31, 1975. They came to Aurora, Nebraska in 1976, and have lived at Willow Bend, near the Platte River for several years.

Bunzi was preceded in death by her parents.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband Bill, and their children, 4 sons, J.C. Walls of Pittsburg, California, Glen Walls of Martinez, California, Steve Black of Kearney and Doug Black of Denver, Colorado; 4 daughters, Verona Gerkie of Portland, Oregon, Brenda Black of Las Vegas, Nevada, Billie Jean Jansen of Denver, Colorado, and Lisa Beach of Las Vegas, Nevada; 3 brothers, Orin Davis of Phoenix, Arizona, Earl Davis of Portland, Oregon, and Ralph (Lefty) Davis of Petaluma, California; 3 sisters, Betty Utz, Dorothy Forsyth and Wilma Miller all of Portland, Oregon, and 12 grandchildren.
