Velma Boicourt

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday afternoon at the Hamilton Manor in Aurora. The Rev. James Garfield will officiate. Burial of ashes will be at 4:00 P.M. at Minden. Higby Mortuary in Aurora is in charge of arrangements.

OBITUARY: Velma Boicourt

Velma G. Boicourt, the daughter of John and Mary (Johnson) Bronson, was born at Amherst, Nebraska, on May 10, 1916, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on November 26, 1995, at the age of 79 years, 6 months, and 16 days.

She grew up in Minden and Amherst and received her schooling in Kearney County.

On June 21, 1958, she was united in marriage to Calvin Boicourt at Julesburg, Colorado. They moved to Ventura, California, where they resided until June of 1988, when they returned to Minden, and in 1990, they entered a nursing home. Since 1992, she had resided at the Hamilton Manor in Aurora. Mr. Boicourt preceded her in death on March 17, 1993.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 6 brothers, Theron, Asa, Fred, Kenneth, Howard and Keith.

She is survived by one sister Ida Rodemack of Boise Idaho; 2 sister-in-laws, Hazel Bronson of Minden, and Ruby Bronson of Boab, Utah; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
