Walt Bonne

Walt Bonne, age 72, of Aurora died Wednesday morning, January 30, 2002, at Memorial Long Term Care.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday at the Higby-McQuiston Chapel in Aurora. Rev. Nora Leeds will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: WALT BONNE

Donald Walt Bonne, the son of Edward Louis and Sarah Elizabeth (Jones) Bonne, was born in David City, Nebraska on April 14, 1929 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on January 30, 2002, at the age of 72 years.

He grew up on a farm near David City. Walt went to rural elementary school and graduated from David High School in 1947. After graduating he helped on the family farm.

Walt was united in marriage to Reana Marie Powell on February 2, 1958 at Reno, Nevada. Four children were born to this union, Diane, David, Debra and Donna. Walt worked most of his life in the farming industry. Walt and Reana lived in the Fremont and Fontanelle area for 15 years. They moved to Aurora in 1976. After semi-retiring, he worked part-time at the Hamilton County Yards, where he mowed. Walt always took pride in his work.

Growing up Walt loved to ride motorcycles with his brothers. He also loved hunting and fishing with his family members. Walt also enjoyed cooking on the grill and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and four brothers.

Walt is survived by his wife, Reana M. Bonne of Aurora; four children, Diane E. McGovern of Richmond, Virginia, David E. Gobar of Wisner, Debra Ann Ford of San Antonio, Texas and Donna M. Sabata of Aurora; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
