Marguerite Bosanko

Marguerite Bosanko, age 85, died Wednesday, January 5, 2005, at Oakridge Nursing Home in El Dorado, Arkansas.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 15th at the Chapel of Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Interment will be in Aurora Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to Aurora United Methodist Church. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at higbymortuary.com.

OBITUARY: MARGUERITE BOSANKO

Marguerite Lorena Bosanko, the daughter of Harold and Sylvia (Kerr) Mills, was born in Roggin, Colorado on July 2, 1919 and died in El Dorado, Arkansas on January 5, 2005, at the age of 85.

She grew up in Kansas City but spent each summer in Aurora, Nebraska. After the death of her husband James in 1958, she reared 3 boys by herself working as a seamstress, clerk and florist in Bonner Springs, Kansas.

In 1973, she retired to Aurora to care for her mother and aunts and worked for a time at Larson's. She spent the last 12 years of her life in Minnesota with her son, Dave and in Arkansas with her son, Rob. She was an active member of United Methodist Church of Aurora and Bonner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter-in-law, Janet Bosanko.

Marguerite is survived by her three sons, Rob Bosanko of El Dorado, Arkansas, David Bosanko of Cambridge, Minnesota and Dan Bosanko of St. Augustine, Florida; two brothers, E.J. Mills of Aurora and H.J. Mills of Kansas City, their wives: Evelyn and Barbara; 2 daughters-in-law, Pam and Barbara and 4 grandchildren.
