Leota Buller
Leota Buller, age 78, of Hampton died Tuesday evening, August 17, 2004, at Henderson Care Center in Henderson. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, August 21st at the Zion Lutheran Church in Hampton. Rev. Loren Cooper will officiate. Interment will be in the Hampton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Friday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at higbymortuary.com. OBITUARY: LEOTA BULLER Leota Buller, the daughter of August and Lydia (Griess) Bettger, was born in Sutton, Nebraska, on April 15, 1926 and died in Henderson, Nebraska on August 17, 2004, at the age of 78. She grew up in Sutton, where she attended school. Leota was united in marriage to Johnnie E. Buller on October 6, 1946. She and her husband lived on a farm south of Hampton, for 50 years, before moving to Hampton in 1996. Johnnie passed away on January 18, 1999. In August 2003, she entered the Henderson Health Care Center. Leota enjoyed reading and getting together with friends and family. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Hampton. Her parents, husband, three sisters, Lenora Beliel, Johanna Meyer and Edna Meyer and two brothers, Leon Bettger and Hilmer Bettger preceded her in death. Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Ron (Lu) Buller of Cawker City, Kansas and Royce (Wanda) Buller of Hampton; four daughters, Connie (Ron) Hinman of Fullerton, Ruth Wengler of Aurora, Donna (Virgil) Stearns of Rising City and Pat (Pat) Shank of Montrose, Colorado; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Lucille Calkins of Cresent, Iowa. |
