Albert BurdockFuneral Services were held 9:15 A.M., Friday, February 7, 1986 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Albert Burdock Albert P. Burdock, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Burdock, was born at Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania, on January 15, 1899, and passed away at Grand Island, Nebraska, on February 4, 1986, at the age of 87 years and 19 days. He moved to Chicago as a child and lived there until 1956. He served his country in World War I, serving in the United States Navy for 2 years. While living in Chicago he was employed by the Salstrom Carving Company, from 1923 to 1943. On October 22, 1950, he was united in marriage to Elvera “Hedie” Hedlund. She preceded him in death on April 29, 1982. In 1956, they moved to Aurora and lived here for over a year, and then moved to Columbus, until 1962, when they returned to Aurora where he has since resided. Al was a member of the Aurora V.F.W. and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 4 brothers, Harry, Bill, Jack and Florien; and one sister Margaret Kroll. He is survived by one sister, Marie Stoltman of Chicago, nieces and nephews, sisters-in-law, and many friends. |
