William Burress

William G. Burress, age 76, of Aurora, formerly of Hampton, died Sunday morning at the Memorial Hospital in Aurora.

Mr. Burress was cremated and there will be no services.

OBITUARY: William Burress

William G. Burress, the son of William and Helen (Nath) Burress, was born at Omaha, Nebraska, on October 21, 1920, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 31, 1997, at the age of 76 years, 10 months, and 10 days.

He grew up and received his education in Omaha. He then served in the Military for several years, and following his discharge he worked on construction in various places. He was employed by Flynn’s Paving Company in Omaha for 21 years.

On March 31, 1976, he was united in marriage to Betty DeLong at Papillion. They lived in Omaha, until they moved to Hampton 10 years ago. In December of 1996 they moved to Aurora.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Donald Saddler; one sister Charlotte Drain; and 2 daughters Elizabeth Jean Saddler and Marietta Weight.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are his wife Betty of Aurora; 8 sons, William Burress, Darrell Burress of Fremont, Carl Colburn of LaGrange, Georgia, Albert Colburn of Ohio, Frank Colburn, Dennis Colburn, LaVerne Colburn, and Earl Colburn; 3 daughters, Kristine Burress of Aurora, Rosalee Ericson of Seattle, Washington, and Starlene Perkins of Kansas; 2 sisters Thelma McKean of Downey, California, and Dorothy Harrison of Arkansas; and many grandchildren.
