Sterling ButeFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Friday, May 3, 1985 at the First Christian Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Sterling Bute Joseph Sterling Bute, the son of George and Sarah (Strickler) Bute, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on November 3, 1892, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on April 30, 1985, at the age of 92 years, 5 months and 17 days. He grew up in the Aurora area and attended District #6, country school, and the Aurora Business College. He was engaged in farming at the home place most of his life. Sterling was a member of the Aurora First Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers, Wilford, Winfield and Frank; and two sisters, Ethel Warren and Bessie Hazel Bute. Those who remain to cherish his memory are 4 sisters, Stella Binckley of Omaha, Eva Bute of Aurora, Anne Bute of McCook and Florence Bute of Aurora and other relatives and friends. |
