Louise Cain
Louise Cain, age 95, of Aurora, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011, at the Hamilton Manor. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Friday, September 23rd at the First Christian Church. Rev. Gary Dudder will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 P.M. Thursday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. OBITUARY: LOUISE CAIN Louise Cain, the daughter of John Edward and Selma Louise (Neander) Byers, was born at Hamilton County, Nebraska on August 7, 1916 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on September 18, 2011, at the age of 95. Louise grew up in Hamilton County. She attended grades 1-8 at District #77 Country School and graduated from Aurora High School in 1934. She worked at the County Treasurer's Office after graduation as Deputy County Treasurer. Louise was united in marriage to George Cain on September 12, 1948 at Fairbury. They farmed south of Aurora. George passed away in September 1972. Louise continued to live on the farm until January 2011 when she entered Hamilton Manor. Louise sold Studio Girl cosmetics for many years and traveled many miles to the homes of her loyal customers. She was a 4H Club leader before her marriage. She was a member of the Aurora Women's Club for 65 years. Louise was a member of the First Christian Church and taught Sunday School there for over 50 years. She was also very active in the Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF). She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and brother, Charles Byers. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Wayne Cain of Aurora; daughter, Georgeen (Ronald) Strong of Webster, New York and three grandchildren, Laura, Adam and Emily. |
