Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, September 17, 1984 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Helen Cameron

Helen Gould Cameron, the daughter of John and Laura (Anderson) Miller, was born June 3, 1900, in Hamilton County, Nebraska, and passed away September 13, 1984, at the age of 84 years, 3 months and 10 days.

She was born on her grandfather’s homestead, and attended grade school in rural schools and graduated from Aurora High School in 1920. Following graduation she attended summer school at the University of Nebraska for two summers. She then taught in country schools in Hamilton County, an in Stockham and Aurora Public Schools, and also in Lost Spring, Wyoming, for a total of nine years.

On May 18, 1929, she was united in marriage to Sandie Cameron at Hastings, Nebraska. They were lifetime farm residents until she and her husband retired in 1976. In 1980 they moved into their present home in Aurora.

Helen was a member of the Federated Church in Aurora for 73 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Pauline Miller and Margaret Schertz, and one brother Wilbur E. Miller.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Sandie; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret L. Gilliland of Rochester, Michigan and Laura J. Klug of Maxwell, Nebraska; one brother Robert F. Miller of Pleasantville, Iowa, one sister, Laura Joyner of Lincoln, Nebraska; 3 grandchildren, and many other relatives and close friends.
