Helen CampbellFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Friday, December 9, 1994 at the Aurora Assembly of God Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Helen Campbell Helen Evangeline Campbell, the daughter of Carl and Grace (Davis) Huenefeld, was born near Giltner, Nebraska, on July 20, 1905, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on December 6, 1994, at the age of 89 years, 4 months, and 16 days. She graduated from Aurora High School with the class of 1923, and after attending York Teacher’s College, she taught rural school southwest of Giltner. On August 15, 1929, she was united in marriage to George Campbell, at Aurora. He preceded her in death on September 8, 1988. They lived south of Aurora until 1961, when they retired from farming and built and operated the Rainbow Motel in Hastings. In 1972, they built a new home in Aurora, where she resided until entering the Hamilton Manor in June of 1993. Helen was an active member of the Aurora Assembly of God Church as long as her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; an infant son, one grandson, a great grand daughter, and a brother Charles Huenefeld. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her 2 sons, Donald of Aurora an Alvin of Omaha; 2 daughters, Mrs. (Darrell) Arlene Herman of Hastings and Mrs. (Rev. Harold) Georgene Powell of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother Wesley Huenefeld of Aurora; 3 sisters, Ruth Ronin of Redlans, California, Alice Tucker of Aurora, and Eveline Greene of Arvada, Colorado; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. |
