Rosanna CampbellFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 2, 1985 at Pleasant View Bible Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Rosanna Campbell & Don Campbell Keith Campbell was born September 26, 1931 at Trumbull, Nebraska, the son of Clarence and Clara Hill Campbell, and died at Minneapolis, Kansas, on December 29, 1984 at the age of 53 years, 3 months and 3 days. He was baptized as a youth, grew up in the Trumbull area and was a graduate of Aurora High School. Rosanna Campbell was born April 4, 1929 at Aurora, Nebraska, the daughter of Emil and Bertha Eckert Larson, and died at Minneapolis, Kansas on December 29, 1984 at the age of 55 years, 8 months and 25 days. She was baptized as a child, grew up and received her education in Aurora, graduated from Aurora High School and attended a two-year teacher’s training program at Nebraska Wesleyan College. She also attended the University of Northern Colorado. She taught in Hamilton County rural schools and later in the Aurora Public Schools. Keith and Rosanna married June 5, 1955 at Aurora. They lived in California briefly, while Keith was in the U.S. Navy, following his discharge they moved to Aurora, where he worked at the Higby Mortuary and later at the Aurora Co-op Elevator. In 1963 they moved to Holdrege, where he worked for the Co-op Feed Mill. In 1969 they moved to Benedict, where he managed the Co-op Elevator, returning to Aurora in 1970. He was employed in construction and at the Ben Franklin store before going to work for Century Manufacturing where he was employed at the time of his death. After returning to Aurora, Rosanna did cleaning for several firms and cooked at the Hamilton Motor Inn. She also was a teacher’s aide, worked at Family Resources and was presently employed at the Aurora Community Center. Keith and Rosanna were engaged in interior decorating, Amway representatives, served as Aurora’s distributor for the Omaha World Herald the past two years, and had operated the 4-H stand at the Hamilton County Fair as a family project for several years. They were active in the Pleasant View Bible Church in Aurora, 4-H (in which he had been active on county, state and national levels) and extension work. She had been involved in Rural Youth and church circles. Keith was a member of the American Legion and had been very active in Boy Scouts the past 20 years, having received the Order of the Arrow and the Silver Beaver awards, and had been scoutmaster for Troop 131 for several years. Survivors include his mother Clara Campbell of Aurora; her mother and stepfather, Bertha and D.A. Davis of Aurora; four sons, Mark of Kearney, Paul of Norman, Oklahoma, John of Lincoln and Matt of Aurora; four daughters, Lora Marco of Rantoul, Illinois, Mary Sue of Lincoln, Sarah of Seward and Gina of Aurora; three grandchildren; his sisters, Elaine Unterseher of Lexington and Rowena Ostrander of Aurora; her sister, Susan Salmon of Aurora; and her brothers, Irl Larson of Marquette and Warrren, William, Robert and Steven all of Aurora. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Letha Norby. She was preceded in death by her father, and they were preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lela Rose. |
