Don CargillFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, March 30, 1988 at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Kronborg. Interment was held in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Scotia, Nebraska. OBITUARY: Don Cargill Perry Don Cargill, the son of Perry and Mildred (Mohler) Cargill, was born at Greely, Nebraska, on August 30, 1938, and passed away at Omaha, Nebraska, on March 27, 1988, at the age of 49 years, 6 months, and 27 days. He received his early education at rural grade school, and graduated from Scotia High School, and attended Kearney State College. He loved family, farming and cattle, and life. He was married to Donetta Castor and from this union he adopted his special son, Jason. He later married Marilee (Lingbloom) Lee, and together they found their own little corner of the world and he enlarged his family. On March 27, 1988, his large loving heart gave out and he passed away at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. Survivors are his wife, Marilee of Marquette, son Jason, of Bethphage Home Grand Island, father, Perry Cargill of Scotia, sister Blanche Swanson of Kearney; brothers Bob of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Del of Scotia, and their families. Step-children, Connie Wisman of Galesburg, Illinois, Peggy Sage of Fort Collins, Colorado, Ronny Lee of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Regan Lee of Nampa, Idaho, and Nella Lee of Sterling, Colorado, and their families and his 11 beloved step-grand children, and a host of friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother Mildred Cargill and a niece. We who knew him were blessed. He accepted every person as a unique human being and taught others to believe in themselves. His motto was “Let Go and let God Sweat it!!” |
