Pat Carriker
Pat Carriker, age 73, of Aurora, died Saturday, August 30, 2008, at Madonna Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, September 2nd at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Rev. Cole Fowler will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 P.M. Monday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com. OBITUARY: PAT CARRIKER Patsy Ann Carriker, the daughter of Marshall Glen and Ida Mae (Walker) Francis, was born in York, Nebraska on February 18, 1935 and died in Lincoln, Nebraska on August 30, 2008, at the age of 73. She grew up in Marquette and graduated from Marquette High School in 1954. Pat began working at the ASCS office in Aurora. On February 28, 1960 she was united in marriage to Dean Edgar Carriker at the E.U.B. Church in Marquette. After working for the ASCS office for 20 ½ years, Pat went to work at Ford New Holland in Grand Island, where she worked for 17 years. She then drove the van for the Aurora School District 4-R. Pat enjoyed working outdoors, including helping her father for many years during harvest time. She was a member of the Aurora United Methodist. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Donna Rae Pierce and brother, William Edward Francis. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dean Carriker of Aurora; sister, Judy Kay (Leroy) Gillham of Newman Grove and many nieces, nephews and friends. |
