Twila Carroll

Twila Carroll, age 70, of Aurora, died Thursday, August 5, 2004 at Memorial Hospital in Aurora.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 7th at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Aurora. Rev. Craig Doty will officiate. Family will receive friends from 3 to 8 P.M. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora is in charge of arrangements. OBITUARY: TWILA CARROLL

Twila M. Carroll, the daughter of Peter and Leona (Drey) Wempe, was born in Gregory, South Dakota on November 19, 1933 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on August 5, 2004, at the age of 70.

Twila was united in marriage to Leo L. Carroll on April 20, 1955 at Gregory, South Dakota. They moved to Hastings, Nebraska in 1964, where she retired after many years of service from The Dutton-Lainson Company in 1994. After retiring, Twila moved to Aurora to spend more time with her family.

Twila will be greatly missed, but will be forever remembered as a loving wife, a wonderful sister, a great mother, an amazing grandmother, a doting great-grandmother, a loyal friend, and a devout Christian in the hearts of all those, whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, two brothers and one sister.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Gen (Orson) Gray of Mitchell, South Dakota; daughter, Cindy Jo (Rich) Huber of Aurora; two sons, Mike (Denise) Carroll of Clay Center and Steve (Lori Ann) Carroll of Hastings; grandchildren, Scott and Nancy Hueske, Travis Hueske, Jeff Hueske, Kelly and Chad Ferguson, Justin Carroll, and Nick and Andy Clark and great-grandchildren, Mariah and Carmen Hueske. She is also survived by and step-grandchildren, Myla Crawford and Steve Huber of Norfolk, as well as sixteen nephews and nine nieces; three great-granddaughters and eight great-grandsons.
