Stanley ChadwickFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 14, 1994 at the Aurora Assembly of God Church. Interment was held in the West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Island, Nebraska. OBITUARY: Stanley Chadwick Stanley F. Chadwick, the son of Myron and Estella (Klinginsmith) Chadwick, was born at Shelton, Nebraska, on August 26, 1922, and died at Lincoln, Nebraska, on January 11, 1994, at the age of 71 years, 4 months, and 15 days. He grew up at Shelton and graduated from Shelton High School in 1942. On July 31, 1944, he was united in marriage to Opal Fuller, at Grand Island. She preceded him in death on August 5, 1989. After their marriage they farmed near Shelton, until 1949, when they moved to St. Paul for one year, and in 1950, they moved to Central City, where he was employed at the Nelson Body Shop for a time before he began working for the railroad. In 1969 they moved to Ord and in 1980, they moved to Aurora, where he retired from the railroad in 1984, after 31 years of employment, due to health reasons, and they continued to reside in Aurora. He had been attending the Aurora Assembly of God Church. Stanley enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a step-mother Adele, one brother Kenneth, one sister Arlene, and an infant grandson. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his son, Jerry and his wife Pat of Aurora; 4 daughters, Linda Dittmer and her husband Jim of Clarks, Sandy Timmons and her husband Rodney of Hordville, Laura Chadwick of Aurora, Colorado, and Kathy Brandenburg and her husband Alan of Aurora; one brother Delbert Chadwick of Denver, Colorado; 3 sisters, Erma Johnson of Grand Island, Velma Balthazor of Freeport, Illinois, and Marge Brown of Laguna Hills, California; 13 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. |
