OBITUARY: Lyle Chaney

Lyle Emerson Chaney, the son of Hugh and Bessie (Kingston) Chaney, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on September 27, 1909, and passed away at Cheyenne, Wyoming, on December 31, 1984, at the age of 75 years, 3 months and 4 days.

Lyle grew up in the Aurora vicinity and attended schools in this area.

Lyle was united in marriage to Gertrude Bearnth on September 20, 1941. Following their marriage he served his country in World War II from 1941 to 1945. Following his discharge he returned to Aurora.

Later he moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming where he worked on a ranch. The last 15 years he resided in the V.A. Hospital in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, wife and 3 brothers.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his brother, David Chaney of Hastings, Nebraska.
