Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 28, 1997 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Anna Christenson

Anna Marie Christenson, the daughter of Martin and Tina (Thomsen) Jensen, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on September 19, 1922, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 24, 1997, at the age of 74 years, 4 months, and 5 days.

She grew up and received her education at Aurora. She then cared for her aunt, Anna Kroegh.

On June 10, 1942, she was united in marriage to Royal Christenson, at Aurora. They made their home in Aurora, and she cared for her 2 sons.

Anna and her brother Augie were both confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Kronborg. She was a faithful and active member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, as long as her health permitted, and she was also active in the church circles. She also enjoyed her antiques and heirlooms, and her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband Royal of Aurora; 2 sons, David and his wife Sharon of Wheatridge, Colorado, and Carl and his wife Mary Nell of Snellville, Georgia; one brother August Jensen of Miami, Florida; and 3 grandchildren, Angie, Courtney and Kelly.
