Warren CoatsFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 3, 1987 at the Giltner United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Giltner Cemetery. OBITUARY: Warren Coats Warren G. Coats, the son of George and Laura (Smith) Coats, was born at Stockham, Nebraska, on March 3, 1921, and passed away at his home in Giltner, Nebraska, on November 30, 1987, at the age of 66 years, 8 months, and 27 days. He grew up and attended school in Stockham and Giltner and graduated from Giltner High School. On May 11, 1943, he was united in marriage to Harriet Petersen, at Altadena, California. They resided in California until 1963, when they moved to Giltner. Harriet preceded him in death on February 27, 1973. On January 11, 1975, he married Marilyn (Harley) Struebing, at Grand Island. Warren was a carpenter at the Grand Island Ordinance Plant, and was a custodian at the Giltner School. He was a member of the Giltner United Methodist Church, and the Grand Island Eagles Club, Aerie No. 378. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Harriet, and one sister Eleanor Rickaby. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Marilyn; 2 daughters, Donna Boelts of Yuma, Arizona and Delores Leschinsky of Fort Collins, Colorado; 3 step-sons, Gary Struebing of Omaha, Larry Struebing of Tucson, Arizona and Tim Struebing of Phillips; 3 brothers, Ronald and Duane of Giltner and Elroy of Turlock, California; 7 grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. |
