Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, December 2, 1993 at the Aurora Presbyterian United Church of Christ. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Boyd Cogil

Boyd W. Cogil, the son of Clyde and Verna (Cherry) Cogil, was born at Thayer, Nebraska, on October 12, 1908, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on November 28, 1993, at the age of 85 years, 1 month, and 16 days.

He was raised in central Nebraska and graduated from Phillips High School in 1926. In the 30’s he began working for Chicago and Northwestern Railroad as a dispatcher, and retired in the fall of 1972.

Boyd was united in marriage to Delpha M. Jones on November 3, 1935 at Buffalo Gap, South Dakota. They lived in Long Pine and Chadron before moving to Aurora in March of 1973. Delpha preceded him in death on April 15, 1981.

Boyd was a 32nd Degree Mason, and belonged to the Long Pine Lodge.

Boyd was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and his brother Kenneth.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are one son Roger of Palatine, Illinois, one daughter Jolene Cogil of Lakewood, Colorado, one brother Glenn of Aurora, Colorado, 2 granddaughters, Cynthia and Kathleen, and other relatives.
