Ray Comer

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, October 11, 1986 at the First Christian Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Ray Comer

Ray Byron Comer, the son of Joseph and Susan (Matthews) Comer, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on September 22, 1908, and passed away at Hordville, Nebraska, on October 8, 1986, at the age of 78 years and 16 days.

He was raised near Aurora and attended country school south of Aurora.

On January 24, 1932, he was united in marriage to Marie Youngquest at Aurora. They farmed south of Aurora and later moved to a farm west of Aurora, where they lived for 38 years. In 1980 they moved into their present home in Aurora.

Ray was a member of the Aurora First Christian Church and had served for many years as deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother John.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Marie; one son Don of Aurora; one daughter Darlene Nicholson of Norfolk; a brother Lawrence of Parma, Idaho; 3 sisters, Hazel Thom and Jessie Sheehan both of Seward and Blanche DaMoude of Salem, Oregon; 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
