Dr. Bruce Covington

Dr. Bruce Covington, age 62, of Hampton, died Monday, May 4, 2009.

OBITUARY: DR. BRUCE COVINGTON

Dr. Bruce C. Covington, the son of Robert and Katherine (Gupton) Covington, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 29, 1946 and died in Hampton, Nebraska on May 4, 2009, at the age of 62.

Bruce grew up in Morris Town, New Jersey. He was a decorated F-4 Pilot from who served in the Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Bruce was awarded the Presidential Citation and the Distinguished Flying Cross for his service.

Bruce earned numerous degrees receiving a PhD, Masters, three bachelors and many more.

Bruce was married to Pamela Clifton on August 31, 2006 at Denver, Colorado. He worked for Quantum as a Quality Control specialist.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Pamela of Hampton; son, Jason Covington of Houston, Texas; step-children, Pam (Ray) Lawson of Hampton, Craig Clifton of Thornton, Colorado and Paul (Lori) Dittler of Fort Morgan, Colorado; 7 grandchildren, Cody, Mat, Nate Lawson of Hampton, Taylor Clifton of Thornton, Colorado and Bryce, Morgan and Colby Dittler of Fort Morgan, Colorado; brothers, Robert and Arthur Covington both of New Jersey; Cousins, Robert (Heidi) Smith of Parker, Colorado and Rick (Karen) Hughes of Killeen, Texas.
