Iva CramerFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 22, 1998 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Arborville Cemetery south of Polk, Nebraska. OBITUARY: Iva Cramer Iva Mildred Cramer, the daughter of Edward and Lilly (Moberg) Stewart, was born in Madison County, Nebraska, on September 21, 1909, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 18, 1998 at the age of 88 years, 3 months, and 27 days. As a small child, she moved with her family to a farm in Polk County, and then they moved to Stromsburg, where she grew up and attended school. On July 1, 1926, she was united in marriage to Clifford Cramer. He preceded her in death in March of 1970. She lived the last few years of her life at Colonial Corner in Aurora, and entered the Hamilton Manor in January of 1997. She was a certified ceramic instructor for 21 years, and owned and operated ceramic studios and gift shops in Polk, York, Geneva and Aurora. She was an active member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, and was very active in organizations and clubs. She was the past District President of the Rebekah Lodge, and the Federated Garden Clubs of the State of Nebraska. She had held several offices in the local and county organizations of the Federated Women’s Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Dennis, 2 brothers, Merle and Lee Steward, and a sister Inez Stewart, two grandchildren, and one great grandson. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son Darryl and his wife Ann of Apache Junction, Arizona; two daughters Phyllis Munn and her husband Doyle, of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, and Shirley Krabiel and her husband Ross of Aurora; two sisters Irene Ballard of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Merry Schmidt of Seattle, Washington; 11 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren, and 18 great great grandchildren. |
