Larry Crouse, Sr.

Larry Crouse, Sr., age 69, of Aurora died Friday evening, August 18, 2000, at Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday at the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Pastor Randy Brehms will officiate. Interment will be in Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M., Tuesday at Higby Mortuary in Aurora.

OBITUARY: LARRY CROUSE, SR.

Larry Rex Crouse, Sr., the son of Rex and Bessie (Applebee) Crouse, was born in Milford, Nebraska on February 26, 1931 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on August 18, 2000, at the age of 69 years, 5 months and 22 days.

He grew up in Beatrice, where he attended school.

Larry was united in marriage to Janice Wamsley on September 21, 1957 in Lincoln, Nebraska. They moved to Aurora. Larry retired from Century Manufacturing after 28 years. He then worked for the City of Aurora in the Maintenance Department. He especially enjoyed working for the parks, which allowed him to be outdoors.

He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, the Lion’s Club, and a lifetime member of the Handyman’s Club. He was an avid woodworker and made many items for family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and birth mother, Mabel Kittlemann.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Eileen Crouse of Aurora; children, Larry (Butch) Rex Crouse, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Centralia, Missouri, Jerry Lee Crouse and his wife Rebeccah (Becky) of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Cindy Maguire and her husband Ray and Deborah Taylor and her husband Murl; three grandchildren, Kirsten Ashley and Nathan Scott Crouse of Centralia, Missouri and Lorena Janice Crouse of Delaware; one great-granddaughter, Stephanie Marie Sapphire Crouse of Delaware and a half brother, Don Steiger of Sweet Home, Oregon.
