Lee Cyr

Lee Cyr, age 51, of Aurora, recently of Franklin was killed in an automobile accident on Friday morning, December 12, 2008.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, December 16th at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Rev. Cole Fowler will officiate. Interment will be at 2:00 P.M. in the Greenwood Cemetery at Franklin, Nebraska. No Visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials be made to NET Radio. OBITUARY: LEE CYR

Leland Arthur Cyr, the son of Howard J. (Jim) and Gloria M. (Holtz) Cyr, was born in Iowa City, Iowa on November 8, 1957 and died on December 12, 2008, at the age of 51.

He grew up in Lincoln, where he graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 1976. Lee had lived in Boulder, Colorado. He was recently employed by KAPA in Axtell, Nebraska, where he did maintenance on their mechanical systems.

Lee enjoyed hunting and fishing. His many passions included automobiles, motorcycles, blacksmithing, fine woodworking and airplanes. Lee enjoyed public NET Radio. He valued what they did, and was a loyal member.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents Jim and Gloria Cyr of Aurora; sister, Mary (Ron) Shortridge and their daughter, Elissa all of Garden City, Kansas and grandmother, Frances Holtz of Central City.
