Alma Dadey

Funeral Services were held 2:30 P.M., Tuesday, September 26, 1989 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Alma Dadey

Alma Wilhemina Dadey, the daughter of Ernst and Augusta (Schultz) Matthes, was born at Hampton, Nebraska, on August 18, 1908, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on September 23, 1989, at the age of 81 years, 1 month, and 5 days.

She attended Zion Lutheran Parochial School north of Hampton.

On August 18, 1931, she was united in marriage to Victor Dadey, at the Zion Lutheran Church, north of Hampton. They were tenant farmers near Hampton after their marriage, and in 1962 they moved to the farm at Marquette and lived there until the present.

Alma was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Aurora.

She enjoyed the rural life, working on the farm, raising animals, and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Victor, on March 31, 1987; and 2 brothers and 12 sisters.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son Ed Dadey of Marquette; 2 daughters, LaVerda Miller of Aurora and Geraldine Welsh of Brule, Nebraska; one sister, Margaret VanOstrand of Sycamore, Illinois; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
