Donald Dallegge

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, July 22, 1991 at the United Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Hampton Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Donald Dallegge

Donald Dallegge, the son of Frederick and Alice (Winkleman) Dallegge, was born at Garrison, Nebraska, on November 7, 1924, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on July 18, 1991, at the age of 66 years, 8 months, and 11 days.

He grew up and attended school at Garrison, and then farmed with his father. He served his country during World War II from December 20, 1944 to November 18, 1946 in the United States Army. After his discharge he returned to Garrison. In 1949, he moved with his parents to Hampton, where they operated the Hampton Produce. After it closed, he worked for Ed Lehr Produce in York. In 1966, he began working for Grosshans Lumber in Hampton and later at Aurora, until his retirement.

On January 11, 1951, he was united in marriage to Doris Bittinger, at Hampton.

Don was a member of the Hampton United Lutheran Church, and also belonged to the Hampton American Legion Post #141.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Doris of Hampton; one son Craig of Hampton; one daughter Betty Makovicka of York; one brother Delmar of Garrison; one sister June Olcott of Columbus; and 4 grandchildren.
