Doris Dallegge
Doris Dallegge, age 75, of York, formerly of Hampton, died Saturday, August 26, 2006, at Bryan/LGH Hospital in Lincoln. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 30th at the United Lutheran Church in Hampton. Rev. Chris Kester Beyer will officiate. Interment will be in the Hampton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at United Lutheran Church in Hampton. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at higbymortuary.com. OBITUARY: DORIS DALLEGGE Doris Jean Dallegge, the daughter of Wendell and Cora (Misner) Bittinger, was born in Hampton, Nebraska on January 25, 1931 and died in Lincoln, Nebraska on August 26, 2006, at the age of 75. She grew up in Hampton and graduated from Hampton High School. Doris worked at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln for two years. Doris was united in marriage to Donald Dallegge on January 11, 1951 at Hampton. She worked with her husband at their produce station in Hampton. Doris then went to work for York Manufacturing in York. She then worked as a waitress at Jack’s Café in Hampton and was a cook at Hampton Public Schools for 19 years. Donald passed away on July 18, 1991. Doris was a lifetime resident of Hampton, she lived the past 7 months in York. Doris was a member of the Hampton United Lutheran Church and the Women’s Group. She was a member of the Hampton Girl Scout Troop. Doris loved attending her grandchildren’s school and church activities. She enjoyed going to the horse races, crocheting and visiting with her friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two brothers, Franklin and Robert Bittinger and an infant brother. Those left to cherish her memory are two children, Betty (Ray) Makovicka of York and Craig (Sue) Dallegge of Hampton; 4 grandchildren, David (Amanda) Templeton, Laura Dallegge, Kara Dallegge and Brooke Makovicka and two great-grandchildren, Madeline and Alexandrea Templeton. |
